Are you ready....??

If you go back to my very first post you'll find out that I didn't pick a subject for this blog, mostly because of my own hectic and eclectic hobbies. And right now, faithful to that eclectic nature, I've just begun with a yearly tradition, my Fantasy Football team, the mighty "Crimson Spiders"!

So? are you ready... for some football!?!?! ... Here it is, once again we come to the start of the NFL regular season, and with it the start of the Fantasy leagues.

Last Sunday, September 4th, we held the annual draft for our keeper league (for the civilians out there, a keeper league means you get to keep some players from the previous year), this year I've decided that's the only one I'm going to participate in.

As far as the regular games, I'm afraid that this year my cowboys are in full rebuilding mode, so I expect to see them win just over 6 games, 7 at best. It will be a long season for us cowboys fans, alas, rebuilds have to be made, I just hope some of the rookies that we are going to be playing really pan out and become a force for the future.

This year I have a strong Running Back presence, and I took a couple of fliers (Reggie Bush) on some iffy players, but, on a 12 team league, with experienced managers, it's kind of difficult to have a team of all stars, I'm the reigning champion of the league, and for the 5 years we've had it there hasn't been a repeat champ, so I hope to break that trend. =D
